Our organization holds an important place in our community and within American society by encouraging greater participation among underrepresented groups in our society.
Based on the premise that an engaged electorate could improve civil society and America's democracy, KALCA provides leadership training and civic education through the College Internship Program ("CIP") , Educational Forums, the Leadership Development Program, and the Voter Education and Mobilization ("VEM") Project. Our programs have gained substantial recognition in our community, the most notable of which are the VEM project and the CIP. KALCA also works to build relationships with other Asian American and ethnic minority organizations, strengthening partnerships within and beyond the Asian American community.
I hope that you will help us continue in our mission to promote informed participation by members of our community so that they may contribute to the greater American society. We hope to build a consistent funding source to expand our programs and improve our administrative efficiency in running our programs.
The Korean American League for Civic Action (KALCA) is a 501(C)(3) non-partisan, non-profit community advocacy organization dedicated to promoting the civic participation of Korean Americans and Asian Pacific Americans.
