Reflections by the KALCA College Internship Program Class of 2009

This year, KALCA selected four interns, Juliette Cho, Harold Kang, Bonny Tsang, and Catherine Yun, to be a part of the 2009 College Internship Program. The KALCA interns spent the past eight weeks at their respective placements, being exposed to the inner workings of their fields of interest, as well as attending events and seminars coordinated by KALCA. The program came to completion with the Teach and Learn Series, in which each of the interns presented their thoughts and findings on a topic of choice, ranging from the parallelism of gay and interracial marriage bans to U.S. immigration policy and its effects on Asian Americans. As the summer comes to a close, the Class of 2009 interns share their insights into their internship experiences, as well as favorite aspects of the KALCA College Internship Program.
